2016 Turkey Cinema Statistics

The number of cinema halls increased 5.4% and reached to 2.483. Meanwhile, seat capacity increase is limited to  3.3%.

The yearly LFL of moviegoers was -3.3%. That is, we have more cinema with less audiences.

There are 7 provinces where there is no cinema. Those provinces are Ardahan, Bayburt, Gümüşhane, Hakkari, Sinop, Şırnak and Tunceli, most of which are the last 10 least populated provinces.
